ll the District Educational Officers / Ex- Officio Project Co-ordinators and Additional

Project Coordinators in the state are informed that the ongoing Strengthening Swachh

Vidyalaya Initiative, WASH activities and Hygiene Education in all government schools of

Andhra Pradesh in partnership of MoHRD and UNICEF/CEE. Data collection and WASH

related activities and subactivities are supported by CEE. Samagra Shiksha, Andhra Pradesh

was implementing series of events to sustain the water, sanitation, hygiene and behavioral

change. As part of WASH in schools, the ongoing Strengthening Swachh Vidyalaya Initiative,

we are proposing to organize a 4 days Training of Trainers program for 13 district CMOs and

130 (10 from each district) Selected / identified Master trainers (science and social) on

Wash in school to being the cascading approach Via., online training. Master trainers may

organize district level trainings.

Due to Global Pandemic COVID 19, organizing physical training has become a major

challenge. The situation of COVID 19 also created a wider demand for addressing the Water,

Sanitation and Hygiene interventions across the globe and it is highly essential for schools to

have proper Infection, Prevention and Control Measures. Keeping this in view, an online

session (Webex platform) has been proposed from 3rd to 6th November 2020 with the

following objectives:

• Improve the capacities of Master Trainers on IPC, WASH in Schools to combat with

COVID 19 outbreak and better preparedness for schools reopening

• Strengthening the capacities on essential elements of Swachh Bharath Swachh

Vidhyalaya and implementing the same from state to school level.

• Enhance the skills on preparing, implementing and monitoring WASH interventions

across the state

• Preparation of a plan of action for organizing cascading approach training to reach

each and every school and students.

Therefore, all the District Educational Officers & Ex- Officio Project Co-ordinators in the

state are instructed to depute 10 active Science & social teachers from each districts to

online webex training on WASH in school training programme from 3

rd to 6th November

2020 at 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm through online and the deputed Teachers information

should reach this office on or before 02.11.2020 and Additional Project Coordinators of

Samagra Shiksha are requested to give necessary instructions to District CMOs to coordinate

with the selected Master Resource Persons to organise District level trainings before 30th

November 2020.
