Samagra Shiksha, AP – SALT Programme – Rollout of TPD Science Learning Course for Secondary Science Teachers Orders Issued

The attention of the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State are invited to the references cited and they are informed that under the SALT Project, a Teacher Training Course in Science has been developed by SCERT-AP for secondary school Science teachers, based on the Teacher Training Need Analysis (TNA). A total of 11,629 secondary school teachers opted for the TPD Science course through the TNA process. The course has been designed using a need-based approach to ensure that the content is relevant, practical, and aligned with the classroom realities of teachers. The Department of School Education will roll out the Teacher Professional Development (TPD) course titled “Building Application Skills in Science” for all Government Secondary Schools in Andhra Pradesh during the academic year 2025-26,




 commencing from 29th December 2025. The objective is to enhance teaching practices and improve student learning outcomes across the State.
