Samagra Shiksha – PM SHRI Scheme- Vocational EducationInstructions to implement the Hub and Spoke model in Vocational Education for the year 2024-25- Orders Issued
The Government of India has approved the PM SHRI Budget 2024-25 for implementation of Hub and Spoke Modal in 130 Hub Schools serving students of 130 spoke schools (1 spoke school per 1 hub school) for the academic year 2024-25. All the District Educational Officer & Ex-Officio Project Coordinators and the Additional Project Coordinators of the Samagra Shiksha in the State are informed that the infrastructure available in the Hub Schools shall be utilized by the students of nearby schools (Spoke Schools) for implementation of Vocation Education HUB and SPOKE model in schools. Instructions for implementation of Vocational Education in Hub and Spoke Schools which are sanctioned in PM SHRI PAB 202425. 1.The institutions approved under Hub schools and Spoke schools shall operate in their existing buildings and premises. 2. Each Hub schools needs to have adequate skill lab facilities for face-toface delivery of skills and hands –on practice for students of spoke school. 3.The Hub schools should utilize the existing infrastructures like Vocational Labs, ICT Labs STEM Labs) and ATAL Labs etc. for Skill Education training purpose. 4.Target Benefciaries: Secondary schools students of 20 Spoke schools identifed by Department. Skill Hubs can also enrol candidates from both Skill Hub Schools and Spoke Schools. 5.For theory classes, vocational trainer of Hub School should go to the spoke school and teach Theory Class. 6.For Practical classes, Spoke School Students come to Hub School and attend Practical class. 7.The allotment of periods should be fnalized mutual consultation of both Hub and Spoke School Headmaster/Principal. 8.The Hub School Headmaster/Principal should conduct two theories and two practical classes per week.
