Construction of Kitchenc um stores -Request to furnish the details of funds released, utilize d and balances for construction of Kitchen cum Stores under Mid Day Meal Scheme

In the year 2011-12,the Government of India have sanctioned

24,754 Kitchen-cum-store rooms @ Rs.1.50 lakhs per unit with plinth

area of 28 Sq.Mt for combined Andhra Pradesh for the year 2011-12

under MDM programme under Phase-lI. After bifurcation of the State,

13925 No.of Kitchen sheds@Rs.1,50,000/- to the residual Andhra

Pradesh State (Annexure-II)

The status of the funds released by Govt. to constructions of

Kitchen cum Stores under Mid Day Meal Scheme is as follows:

a. Under Phase-I, in the year 2011-12 from the P.D. Account No.296 of

APEWIDC, Hyderabad an amount of Rs.42.76 Crores @Rs.75,000/-

per Kitchen were released to District Educational Officers by the

Managing Director, APEWIDC, Hyderabad.

b. Under Phase-11, in the year 2012-13 from the P.D. Account No.296

of APEWIDC, Hyderabad an amount of Rs. 125.04 Crores

@Rs.1,50,000/- per Kitchen were released to District Educational

Officers by the Managing Director, APEWIDC, Hyderabad.

C. In the year 2016-17, an amount of Rs.74.36 Crores(Rs.21.49 Crores

for Phase-I @Rs.75,000/- per Kitchen and Rs.52.87Crores for

Phase-II @Rs.1,50,000/- per Kitchen) were released to District

Educational Officers by the Managing Director, APEWIDC,

Hyderabad.

In the State Level Steering cum Monitoring (SSMc) meeting, the

Principal Secretary to Government, School Education Department has

directed to complete the construction work of remaining Kitchen cum

Stores under Mid Day Meal under Nadu-Nedu.

In the Programme Approval Board (PAB) meeting held on

09.06.2020 for approval of AWP & B for the year 2020-21, the Joint

Secretary, Gol has expressed his displeasure for non-completion of

constructions of the Kitchen cum Stores under Mid Day Meal from past

Ten Years and instructed to submit the detailed report on construction of

Kitchen Cum Stores and to fix responsibility on the concerned officials on

delay of constructions of Kitchen cum Stores.

In view of the above facts, all the District Educational Officers in the

state are instructed to submit the latest status and availability of funds

along with recorded evidences and requested information in Annexure

III& IV immediately towards the constructions of Kitchen cum Stores in
