The attention of all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers concerned in the state is drawn to the subject cited. It is observed, based on the UDISE data (2024-25), that there has been a consistent decline in enrollment and admissions in certain aided schools over the past three years. In continuation of the orders issued in the references 5 th cited, the enclosed list of aided schools with less enrollment (less than 40) and with surplus staff is forwarded for necessary action as per the provisions of G.O.Ms.No.1 and other applicable acts and rules in force. Further, the list of aided schools with critically low enrollment (below 20 students) is enclosed. These schools were issued notices last year, but no significant improvement in enrollment has been observed. Accordingly, a second notice should be issued, and appropriate action should be taken in compliance with the instructions issued in the reference 5th cited, and relevant acts and rules in force. Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers
concerned in the State are hereby instructed to complete the entire process as per the rules before the commencement of the next academic year, without giving any scope to the court cases. Encl: list of Schools and model notice.
