Samagra Shiksha Andhra Pradesh - Quality Initiatives Establishment of Model Foundational Schools - Constitution of Committee - Instructions to DEOs & APCs in the State

In continuation to the ref cited, the District Educational Officers and

Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the State are

informed that as part of the ongoing SALT Project, our state aims to develop

40 Model Foundation Schools to enhance the quality of education. This

initiative has received directives from the Department of School Education

(DoSE) and the Department of Women and Child Welfare (WD&cw).

To accomplish this ambitious goal, we have organized a committee

consisting of members from DoSE, WD&CW, and Pratham. The committee is

tasked with visiting various districts in the state from 9.02.2024 to

13.02.2024 to observe and evaluate the identified foundation schools. The

purpose of these visits is to finalize the list of 40 Model Foundation Schools,

which will subsequently undergo further actions for project implementation.

A list of potential foundation schools were received from each district,

and our state team is committed to thorough assessments during their

visits. The success of this endeavor is contingent upon the cooperation and

support extended by district-level stakeholders, particularly the DEOs and

APCs.

Therefore, the District Educationa! Officers and Additional Project

Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the State are requested to cooperate

and support in facilitating the state team's visits in providing

accommodation and transportation arrangements to ensure the successful

completion of these visits.
