All the District Central Librarians and Ex-officio Secretaries of Zilla

Grandhalaya Samsthas and Gazetted Librarians of Regional Libraries in the State are

informed that the Department of Public Libraries, Andhra Pradesh organized SUMMER

CAMPS for School Children in the Branch Libraries across the all districts of Andhra

Pradesh. Students participated in the said summer camps with a great joy in almost all

the Libraries where the knowledge was induced with lots of fun.

In continuation of the above eflorts to bring awareness among the school children

about the Public Libraries, the Department of Public Libraries has planned to organize

SUMMER CAMPS 2023 to the school going children during the summer vacation of this

year 2023 from May.8th to June, 16h in all the Publie Libraries with cooperation of

locally available N.G.Os, Donors, Philanthropists, retired employees ete. so as to enable

them to avail the summer vacation properly and get acquainted with the extracurricular

activities in their interested fields, and to keep them on line to reach their goals.

The action plan of the proposed programme is as follows:

Objectives:

To make the children to utilize their vacation properly.

To develop reading habit among the children.

To habituate school age children to visit the Library.

Target Age Group:

10+ to 15+ years(Le) Students from 6!h to 10th

Primary Students may be excluded as they may have problem of conveyance. If

parents are interested to join them in the Summer Camp, they may be included.

The Branch Library in their habitation. If it cannot accommodate the
