DIKSHA - Conduct live interactive sessions through a YouTube channel on the DIKSHA platform with regard to NISHTHA 4.0 – Instructions
The attention of the District Educational Ofcers and Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the State are invited to the reference cited and it is informed that the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizes the importance of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), stating that "Strong investment in ECCE has the potential to give all young children access, enabling them to participate and fourish in the educational system throughout their lives." The NEP 2020 further sets a target for 2030 to ensure that all students entering Grade 1 are school-ready, highlighting the need for universalization of ECCE. To achieve the goals outlined in the NEP, NCERT has launched the NISHTHA program in collaboration with states/UTs and autonomous bodies. NISHTHA is a fagship program of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, aimed at providing continuous professional development for teachers. NISHTHA 1.0 (Elementary), NISHTHA 2.0 (Secondary), and NISHTHA 3.0 (FLN) have already been implemented across the country. NISHTHA 4.0 for ECCE was
launched with a plan to train the frst level benefciaries, including MEOs, CRPS, DIET faculty from School Education Department, and PDs, CDPOs, and Supervisors from ICDS set up (Women and Child Welfare Dept) during the 2022-23 academic year. The training will be delivered in English or Hindi on the NCERT tenant of DIKSHA platform only
