School Education – A.P. Model Schools – Permission to engage 74 teaching posts as Guest faculty on temporary basis with honorarium Rs.250/-Per hour for PGT (Guest) not exceeding 48 hours i.e.,Rs.12000/- per month for the Months from Dec 2025 to April 2026
To ensure smooth and effective functioning of academic instruction in AP Model Schools across the state, the Principals of A.P. Model Schools in the State are hereby permitted to engage the services of qualified guest teachers (PGTs) to the extent of vacancies in the institutions on purely temporary basis and as per the acute need.
Accordingly, the following guidelines are issued.
i) Selection shall be done at School level.
ii) Every school has to be formed a Committee in this regard with the following Members:
a) District Educational Officer - Chairman
b) Principal concerned - Convenor
c) PGT/TGT concerned subject - Member
d) Dy. Educational Officer concerned - Member
e) Mandal Educational Officer/Head Master-Concerned Mandal -Member
f) Assistant Director, Schemes of the concerned district -Member
The above Committee has to conduct interview followed by the demonstration class. The meritorious candidates are only to be selected. The Guest Teachers should have the requisite qualification notified for the said post vide ref. 5th read above. Demonstration class should be held to check the capabilities of the Guest Teacher. A register containing the details of the candidates attended, performance in the interview and also the merit order is to be maintained during the selection process, in addition to the record on the candidates selected for utilization of the services.
