Launch of Indradhanush by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India in October 2017 – Full immunization to every child in the country – Instructions

Project Coordinators in the state are informed that the Mission
Indradhanush is a fagship programme of government of India under
ministry of Health & Family Welfare (M/0 HFW), which aims at
increasing the full immunization coverage of the children across the
country and leave no child unvaccinated against the deadly diseases.
Intensifed Mission Indradhanush was launched by the Hon’ble Prime
Minister of India in October 2017 with the aim to rapidly boost up full
immunization coverage to more than 90% and sustain thereafter.
In this connection, kind attention is drawn to M/o Health &
Family Welfare’s DO letter no. T-13020/09/2019- Imm dated 1st
February, 2022 (Copy enclosed). Implementing intensifed Mission
Indradhanush 4.0 (IMI 4.0) in three rounds to catch up on the gaps in
immunization coverage that might have emerged due to the ongoing
Covid -19 pandemic. States have been accorded the fexibility of
conducting the three rounds of IMI 4.0 either from February to April
2022 or March to May 2022.
