School Education - Scholarship schemes to the persons of disabilities

The attention of all Regional Joint Director of School Education and

District Educational Officers in the State are invited to the references cited

and informed that, the Department of Empowerment of Persons with

Disabilities (DEPWD) is implementing six scholarship schemes for students

with disabilities namely Pre-matric, Post-matric, Top Class Education, Free

Coaching, National Fellowship and National Overseas Scholarship. The Pre-

Matric, Post Matric and Top Class Scholarship for students with Disabilities

are implemented through

the National

Scholarship

portal

(www.scholarships.gov.in) and the Scholarship amount is remitted directly

to the beneficiaries through PFMS in Direct Beneficiary Transfer (DBT

Mode)

Further, the registration of Scholarships on the National Scholarship

Portal has commenced w.e.f 18th August, 2021 and the window will be

closed on 15th Nov, 2021 for Pre Matric, and 30th Nov, 2021 for Post

matric and Top class Scholarships. Further, a link to the content/

information which may be used for spreading the awareness/ sensitization
