Kind attention is invited to the reference 1st cited above,it is inform

that, the subject matter in the reference 1" cited to extend the probation

period ofwomen employees who. have availed the maternity leave benefit

during their probation is comes under GAD and there are clear instructions in

this regard vide G.M.No. 16888/64-2, GAD dt. 4-7-1964 stating that "any

eave other than optional holidays and casual leave availed during probation

do not count for probation. Public holidays and optional holidays prefixed or

suffixed to such leave aiso donot count as duty tor probation
