ORDER:
In pursuance of the instructions in the reference 4cited above, all the
District Project Officers, SSA and all the District Educational Officers in the state
are informed that, the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India has been decided that
Reader Clubs will be established in all Govt. Schools in the Country in a phased
manner and under Samagra Shiksha at each school. Accordingly, National
Centre for Children's Literature, a wing of NBT has uploaded the concerned
proforma with details on Our website www.nbtindia.gov.in. Approx 82.000
Readers' Clubs have been established by now.

The Director, NBT has informed that NCCL sets up Readers' Clubs in the
schools covered under Samagra shiksha as a Separate entity. A bilingual
quarterly magazine Readers' Club Bulletin is also published to foster the
movement and e-copies of this colorful and attractive magazine are sent to
them, free of cost. Children and teachers are also encouraged to contribute to it.
From time to time, reading promotional activities such as workshops,
discussions, seminars and exhibitions are organized for education officers,
librarians, children, teachers and parents.

Further all the District Educational OfficerS & Ex-Officio Project
Coordinators and Addi. Project Coordinators of samagra shiksha in the State are
informed that, the following google link may be communicated to all the schools
in your respective Districts to fill the requiredinformation as required by NBT,
New Delhi so that they could be enrolled as Readers' Clubs.

This item will be reviewed on a daily basis and hence all district functionaries are
