School Education – A.P.Model Schools – Admissions into 1 Year Intermediate on merit basis secured in SSC Exams for the Academic Year 2026-27 –Guidelines and Procedures for admission into 1 Year Intermediate – Certain Instructions – Issued
All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, the District Educational Officers and all the Principals of AP Model Schools in the State are hereby informed that, it is decided to take up the admissions into 1 Year Intermediate of the A.P. Model Schools as per the following schedule, prescribed guidelines and procedure for the academic year 2026-27 in two phases.
A Press Note has to be issued in the local leading newspapers under news item by respective Principals of AP Model Schools. st 2. The admission into Intermediate 1 year courses shall be purely on merit basis i.e., as per the marks secured in SSC Examinations. The principals should conduct the special drives in the catchment area of Model Schools to motivate the Parents by explaining the advantages of Model Schools, i.e. Free Education in English Medium, good infrastructure facilities, library and laboratory facilities by utilizing the services of the teaching faculty working at their respective Model Schools. 3. Pamphlets and flexes have to be printed and distributed, displayed in the surrounding villages and prominent places in the villages, narrating the advantages of studying in Model Schools. 4. Awareness Programme should be conducted at school level along with MEO, Headmasters of High Schools and Parents. 5. Ensure and motivate that all the existing X class students of AP Model School should apply and join in the same school. 6. Not to take up any admissions beyond the sanctioned seats. 7. Positive motivation must be given to the Parents and students duly mentioning the advantages of AP Model Schools including the Mission Model Mindz (MMM), a parallel IIT JEE / NEET year long parallel coaching classes both offline and online. 8. All the Teaching and Non-Teaching staff must actively involve and effectively work for enhancing demand for seats and filling up of all the 160 seats for Intermediate Ist year with meritorious students. 9. In case of less than 50% admissions enrolled in any group, the teachers will be adjusted to the needy schools having more admissions to maintain parity and for optimum utilization of the best teaching resources. 10. Rule of reservation should be followed in accordance with the references cited without any deviation. 11. To ensure that the 33.33% of the seats should be reserved for girl students in all the categories of SC-15%, ST-06%, BC-29%, OC-40% and EWS-10% (annexure
