All the District Educational Officers are here by informigd that, the NCERT is

offering an online course in Science Education for teachers of upper primary stage

(Classes V-VII). It is an opportunity for professional development of teachers through

online mode. The objective of this course is to enrich teachers' understanding of pedagogy

of Science. The course would emphasize hand-on, inquiry-based learning in schools and

relating it to their everyday life.

The course consists of 40 modules, to be completed in 40 weeks requiring an

effort of 8-10 hours per week. On successful completion of the course, participant will be

awarded a Diploma by NCERT. The Course has commenced from August 10, 2020. The

registration fee for this course is Rs. 2000/. The mode of payment is ONLINE. Detailed
