Certain instances have been brought to the notice of the Commission

where in the Managements of Private Schools/Jr. Colleges have been

collecting exorbitant fees under the guise of conducting online Classes to the

Students. This is highly reprehensible and contrary to the instructions issued

by the Commission and also the G.0.s issued by the State Government in this

regard. Permission granted to the Managements to conduct online classes

doesn't mean that the institutions can charge any amount of fee. The

Instructions have to collect only the amount equivalent to the Tuition fee of

the previous Academic Year in the manner as directed earlier.

Further, it came to the notice of the Commission that the Managements

of Private Educational Institutions have not paid salaries to the Teachers/

Non-Teaching Staff since March 2020 and resorted to oral retrenchment of

employees which is also a serious concern for the Commission. The

Managements of the Private Educational Institutions are therefore directed to

pay the Salaries to their employees in full till date and reinstate the retrenched

employees. Failing which stringent action will be taken against the

Managements.
