Online registration of all the Students studying 8th to 10th Class as JRC Volunteers using the AP Red Cross Mobile APP

The attention of all the District Educational Officers & Ex- Officio Project Co-

ordinators and Additional project coordinators in the State are informed that the Indian Red

Cross Society (IRCS) is a Voluntary Humanitarian organization providing relief in times of

disasters/emergencies and promotes health and care of the vulnerable people and

communities. It is a leading member of the largest independent humanitarian organization in

the world, the international Red Cross & Red Crescent Movement.

In the on-going war against CORONA VIRUS, the school Students in the state play a

major role and their collective strength is the biggest asset for all of us which needs to be

further channelized for protecting themselves and the community during the current

pandemic. Honorable Governor and the President of the IRCS, AP State Branch While

launching the AP Red Cross Mobile APP on 26.06.2020 at Rajbhavan, Vijayawada has

directed the school Education Department to take immediate action in strengthening the

Junior Red Cross by integrating it in to the academic curriculum and own it as an integral

part of the normal departmental activities and Red Cross will be an auxiliary organization to

the Department.
