International Yoga Day on 21st June – Conduct the Common Yoga Protocol in Institution - Intimation

The United Nations declared the 21st of June is the International Yoga Day.
Basing on that Government of India, NCERT, New Delhi has been conducting a
National Yoga Olympiad from 18th to 20th June every year. Due to COVID-19 the
programme is cancelled at National level.



In line with that , the yoga program is being conducted in every Educational
Institution in the state on 21st June every year. The AYUSH Department is hosting
this programme at every district Headquarters. Due to COVID-19 the programme will



be conducted voluntarily in all Educational Institutions with the participation of all the
staff of the institutions and school children by following the social distance and using
masks in the Yoga participation session.
Hence, all the education institutions under the umbrella of School Education
Department may conduct the National Yoga Day in their institutions on 21st June
2020, following the Common Yoga Protocol of 45 minutes
Apart from 45 minutes common Yoga Protocol, a provision has
been made for leading Yoga institutions to incorporate 15 minutes




Institutional Yogic practices e.g. Prāṇāyāma, Yoga Nidrā, Dhyāna,
Satsańg, etc. before Sańkalpa as deemed fit.

Further all the DEOs are informed to conduct the Common Yoga Protocol in
the all the Educational Institutions under their Jurisdiction by following the social
distance and using the masks the programme may be conducted.
