The attention of all Regional Joint Directors of School Education and

District Educational Officers in the State is invited to the reference cited

and all are aware that, the Hon'ble Prime Minister launched PM CARES

for Children Scheme which aims to support children who have lost both

the Parents or legal Guardian or Adoptive Parents or Surviving Parent to
COVID 19 pandemic during the period starting from 11.03.2020. The
objective of the Scheme is to ensure comprehensive care and protection of
children in a sustained manner and enable their well being through health
insurance, empower them through education and equip them for self

sufficient existence with financial support on reaching 23 years of age.

Copy of detailed guidelines for PM CARES for children scheme is herewith

enclosed. Further, the last date of enrollment (pmcaresforchildren.in)

given is 31.12.2021 to avail benefits under this scheme.

Further, it is informed that, at present (141) children in the age
group of 05 to 15 years are applied and approved by the respective

District Magistrates for PMCARES Children Scheme (district wise children

details are enclosed). Further, the responsibility of the School Education

Department is to ensure that the children identified for support with
uniform, textbooks, stationary, notebooks etc., under PM CARES for
children receive educational assistance as specified in the guidelines by

the Gol.

In view of the above, duly communicating the list of 141 children,



the RJDSEs and DEOS are requested to find out whether the child is

studying in any school under any management or not, If yes, the details of

child ID, UDISE Code of school etc., are to be furnished for

monitoring/tracking the child for providing educational assistance. For any
