Ensuring Safety and Protection of children from various online threats during COVID -19 – Instructions to DEOs/APCs in the state – Orders Issued
The attention of the District Educational Officers & Ex-Officio Project
Coordinators and Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the
state are invited to the references cited and it is informed that a study has
been conducted by CSAM by India Child Protection Fund (ICPF) New Delhi.
The Study indicates a sharp rise in demand for online child pornography
during the lockdown.
It is further informed that NCERT has developed certain guidelines on
"Safe Online Learning in times of COVID-19" which is being enclosed
herewith. These guidelines can also be used for sensitization of students and
parents on the subject.
Therefore all the District Educational Officers & Ex-Officio Project
Coordinators and Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the
state are directed to instruct all the schools to follow the guidelines of
NCERT and requested to take necessary action for awareness of children and
parents on on-line threats through SMS, on-line teaching and other means,
which are being presently utilized to reach out to children.
The District Educational Officers & Ex-Officio Project Coordinators
and Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the state are
further instructed to give wide publicity in Press/Media on the above issue
and disseminate the same to all the field functionaries.
