APCOST - NCSCs 2020 & 2021-Invites Nominations of Science Tcachers to act

as District Coordinators (DCS), District Academic Coordinators (DACS) &

Resource Persons (RPs) for a period of 2 (Two) years for conducting the National

Children's Science Congress-2020 and 2021 - Reg :

You are aware that the APCOST is organizing the District & State Level Events for

Children's Science Congress for the students of age group of 10 - 17 years to inculcate the

Scientific Temper among them, every year on the focal themes announced by NSCTC

Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India.

APCOST has organized last 27 NCSCs successfully with the active support of DEOs

(Education Department) who identifies District Coordinators (DCs), District Academic

Coordinators (DACS), Resource Persons (RPs). We glade to inform that even after bifurcation of

A. P., APCOST has conducted these events smoothly & successfully during last 5 years.

The NSCTc- DST, GO1, has announced "Science for Sustainable Living" as the focal

theme for a period of two years i.e. for 28

NCSC-2020 & 29 NCSC-2021.

Now, as per guidelines (appended herewith), APCOST invites nominations for DCs,

DACS and RPs from DEOs (concerned) for every two years to carry out NCSC and APCOST

activities in their respective districts. List of previous year DCs, DACs, RPs is here with

enclosed tor ready reference. The DEOs may nominate new members for DCs, DACs.

Hence, it is now requested to all the DEOS to kindly nominate TWO Science Teachers (as

per guidelines appended herewith and who have enthusiasm in popularization of science) from

their district to act as ONE for District Coordinator (DC) & ANOTHER for District Academic

Coordinator (DAC) for the coming 2 years and to shoulder the responsibilities for conducting

events of 28" and 29 NCSCs in their district during the calendar years 2020 & 2021 in an

effective manner under the able guidance of concerned DEOS. The teachers who have the

experience in such works may please be nominated.
