r. YSR Kanti Velugu Programme -Phse -II - Screening and prescriptions of spectacles - mobilization of abnormal primary school children to school complexes -Issue of orders

Govemment decided and the Hon'ble Chief Minister launched the Dr. YSR Ka

Velugu Programme on 10-10-2019 to provide comprehensive Eye care services to 11 e

people in the State and the same to be implemented in 6 phases. In this regard, Pht e

-I and Phase -II is intended to screen all Govemment and private school children ~y

providing spectacles and treatment to the referral cases. Phase -I has been complet d

successfully and now Phase-II is under process of implementation i.e., from 1-11-2d 9

to 31-12 -2019. . I

The guidelines and Govemment instructions of Phase -II screening for childri n

having eye defects are to be identified at school complexes and primary schools. T e

formats for vision screening test are enclosed in annexure-I and II.

Hence, all the Ex-officio District Project Coordinators and Additional Proj ct

Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha, Andhra Pradesh are instructed to give necess ,

instructions to Deputy Educational Officers, Mandal Educational Officers and He

Masters by coordinating with district Medical and Health Officers and Health staff

mobilization in school complexes and get benefit from the programme and make

programme successful.

This has got the approval in the note fi9le by the State Project director , APS ,

Vijayawada.
