All the District Educational Officers in the State are hereby informed that SCERT,

Andhra Pradesh has developed Academic Calendar for the year 2019-20 in which

GANITOSTAVAM-2019 (Mathematics Day) is one of the activities proposed to be

conduct on 22h December 2019. In this connection Department of School Education has

decided to conduct GANITOSTAVAM -2019 (National Mathematies Day) on the occasion

of the birthday of Indian Mathematician Sri Srinivasa Ramanujan. GANITOSTAVAM

2019 (Mathematics Day) is a creative Festival re lated to promoting Logical Thinking.

Reasoning. Creativity and Joyful learning of Mathematics among children. Accordingly it is

decided to conduct quiz competition for Students studying from VIII to X classes in Govt.

ZP, Aided, Municipal Schools and AP Model Schools, APRS, KGBV's, APSWRS etc.

should be conducted at Mandal, Division and District level.

Therefore all the District Education Officers are informed to communicate guidelines

to organize GANITOSTAVAM 2019 (Mathematics Day) on 22.12.2019 on the occasion of

the birthday of Indian Mathematician Sri Srinivasa Ramanujan to all schools. Further, the

District Education Officers are requested issue instructions to Dy.EOs and MEOs, to conduct

the quiz competition in mathematics at Mandal, Divisional and Distriet level as per the

schedule.The first prize winners team of four (4) students with one escort teacher at district

level will be send to attend the State level competitions to be held on 22nd December -2019

at Social Empowerment Centre, 11th cross road, 4h line, Bhagya Nagar, Ongole,

Prakasam (dt). A detailed guidelines and Action Plan are annexed for taking further

necessary action.
