Constitution of State Level Census Co-Coordination Committee for the Census, 2021- Orders - Issued.

ORDER:

In the reference read above, the Registrar General & Census Commissioner

has stated that various preparatory activities for conducting the Census 2021 in the

country are going on in full swing. Some of these activities like finalization of

administrative units and their constituents etc., are being done at present by

Directorate of Census Operations.

2. He has also stated the Census taking being massive and time bound task of

National importance, it is smooth and successful completion would depend upon the

active involvement of the concerned departments like Revenue, Local

Administrative/Municipal Administration, Rural Development and Panchayats,

Planning and school & Mass Education etc, in general. For each of the preparatory

activities and actual field work, there is a need that the local Directorate of Census

Operations (DCO) and the Concerned State/UT Departments work in well- planned

and Coordinated manner. He has requested to constitute a Committee in the

matter.

3. The Government after examination of the matter, hereby constitute the State

Level Census Co-ordination Committee for the Census, 2021 with the following

members:

1. Chief Secretary to Government - Chairman

2. Spl. Chief Secy. to Government, Revenue

(Land& Endowments) Department - Member

3. Prl. Secy. to Government,

School Education Department - Member

4. Prl. Secy. to Government, PR&RD Department - Member

5. Secy. to Government, Planning Department - Member

6. Secy. to Government, MA&UD Department - Member

7. Prl. Secy. to Government G.A. (GPM&AR) Department - Member

8. The Director, Census Operations, A.P - Member-Convener

4. The Director, Census Operations, A.P. shall take further necessary action in

the matter.
