In the reference 6th cited, the Commissioner of School Education & Ex-Officio Project Director, RMSA, AP, Amaravathi has issued instruction to fill up the 21 School Assistants (Special Education) posts (30 % in 69 posts ) through promotion from the second grade teacher who are having qualification duly issuing the guidelines.
B.Ed – Special Education reconginzed by the Rehabilitiation Council of India or
B.Ed – General & 2 year Diploma in Special Education Recognized by the REhabiliation Council of India or
Higher qualifications in respect of qualifications in Special Education from their respective districts, are eligible for promotions as School Assistants (Special Eucation ) in the same district only.
Allotment of School :
Government of AP has allotted the schools based on the number of Children with Special Needs (CwSN) enrolled in classes 9th & 10th by duly allotting one school in each mandal. The remaining schools in the ditricts are identified based on the highest number of CwSN enrolled in classes 9th & 10th in schools in the district
concerned. (List annexed).
The School Assistant (Special Education) shall re-deploy based on the enrolment of CwSN in the same school or other schools near by from next academic yaer for the cause of effective implementation of Inclusive Education for CwSN.
The School Assistatn (Special Education) shall visit the other high school in his / her Mandal whenever required, to support CwSN in School subjects.
In this connection, I am to inform you that the DEO, Kurnool is competent for issue of promotions from SGT to School Assistants duly following the seniority and prescribed norms.
Hence, I am furnishing the guidelines for promotions to the SGTs for the post of School Assistant (Special Education) which were received from the C&DSE, AP, Amaravati in the reference 6th cited for taking necessary action.
