Sub: SE – Andhra Pradesh Samagra Shiksha (Secondary) – Commencement of Vocational Classes in 256 Schools during the academic year 2019-20 - Reg.

All the District Educational Officers & District Project Coordinators of RMSA in

the State (except West Godavari District) are hereby informed that the Centrally

Sponsored Scheme of Vocational Education has been implemented since 2016-17 in

a phased manner and presently the programme is being implemented in 256 Schools

under different managements.

Among the 256 Vocational Schools, 206 Schools have been completed the full

academic year during 2018-19 whereas the 50 Schools commenced from 17th Dec

2018 onwards.

Therefore, it is informed that the Vocational Education in 206 Schools of

Phase-I & Phase-II shall be commenced from 1st June 2019 or re-opening date for

Intermediate (1st Inter as Level-3 for all 206 Schools and 2nd Inter as Level-4 for 126

Schools of Phase-I) and 12th June 2019 or School reopening date for IX and X

classes. The Vocational Education should cover 200 periods per year for every

academic year for IX and X classes and further 300 periods for XI and XII classes.

The 50 Schools which have been started from 17th Dec 2018 shall be continued with

IX class Vocational Syllabus till 31st July to complete 200 hours of syllabus and

continue with X class syllabus from 1st Aug 2019 and also take measures to complete

200 hours of syllabus for SSC Vocational public exams.
