Attention of all the CDPOs and Project Directors, DW&CDA in the State are
drawn to the subject cited.
The Department has been proposed to conduct the Programme of “MANA
ANGANWADI PILUSTONDI” by the CDPOs concerned in their jurisdiction from
1
st to 15th June, 2019 to admit the children in the age group of 3 to 5 years in
Anganwadi Centres to improve Pre-School enrolment in Nursery, LKG and UKG.
The proposed schedule for conduct of “MANA ANGANWADI PILUSTONDI”
Programme is communicated herewith for information and taking further action
for enrolment of children in the age group of 3 to 5 years in AWCs.
In this connection, it is to inform that as per Right to Education Act-2009,
the children who have completed age of 5 years as on 1st September (cut of
date) are eligible for admission into Elementary/Primary Schools. The children
who have completed age of 4 years as on 1st September (cut of date) are eligible
for admission in Anganwadi Centre in UKG. The children who have completed
age of 3 years as on 1st September (cut of date) are eligible for admission in
Anganwadi Centre in LKG. The children who have completed 3 years after 1st
September may be continued in AWC in Nursery class upto next academic year.
In this context, it is also directed to give instructions to the Supervisors and
AWWs to aware the Parents for enrolment of children in Anganwadi Centres on
services ofered by the centre so that the families especially those belong to
below poverty line does not get attracted to Private Nursery/ Convent Schools.
