Public Services - Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996 – Implementation of Horizontal Reservation to Women, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, Ex-Servicemen and Meritorious Sportspersons in the matter of direct recruitment and promotions and Amendments to Rule 22 – Amendment Notification - Orders
In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India and of all other powers hereunto enabling, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, hereby makes the following amendment to the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, issued in G.O.Ms.No.436, General Administration (Services-D) Department, dated the 15th October, 1996 as subsequently amended from time to time: 2. This notification shall be deemed to have come into force with effect on and from 2nd August, 2023. AMENDMENTS In the said rules, (1) In Rule 22, in sub-rule (2):- 1. in clause (g), the words “and women ” shall be omitted. 2. in clause (h) (I), the words “ or women” shall be omitted. 3. in clause (h) (II), the words “or women”, wherever occur, shall be omitted. 4. in clause (h) (II), in the first proviso, the words “ or women”, wherever occur, shall be omitted. 5. in clause (h) (III), the words “ or women”, shall be omitted. 6. in clause (i), in the proviso the words “and women”, shall be omitted. (2) In sub rule (2) (a) (i) of Rule 22 - (i) After clause (E), the following shall be inserted, namely:- “(E-1) (1) Horizontal reservation for persons with benchmark disabilities:- Four percent (4%) reservation in appointment and promotions in every Government establishment in favour of persons with benchmark disabilities; of which one percent (1%) each shall be reserved for persons as detailed below from the panel year 2023-24: a. Blindness and low vision. b. Deaf and hard hearing. c. Loco motor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy
