School Education, AP - SALT project - SCERT - capacity building of teachers through blended learning courses (TPD) for teachers of Grade 3 to 10 across all districts in Andhra Pradesh-Monitoring of TPD courses-
All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, District Educational Ofcers in the state are informed that it is decided to implement Teacher Professional Development courses (TPD) in all Government schools of Andhra Pradesh from the Academic Year 2023-24 onwards. These courses are rolled out by SCERT to meet the objectives of Supporting Andhra’s Learning Transformation (SALT) Program aiming to improve learning outcomes and quality of teaching practices in the state of Andhra Pradesh to accompany and amplify the quality of all educational reforms initiated by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. These courses will be rolled out for capacity building and support to teachers of Grade 3 to 10. These courses are based on the teachers’ needs identifed through the Teachers’ Training Need Survey and will be rolled out in succession as per the grade and subject of teachers. All the courses follow a blended learning model as follows: • The online part consists of consuming training videos, engaging with reading material, and quizzes as course content along with a pretest and post-test. • The In-
Person part consists of peer learning discussions among the subject group teachers during the school complex meetings as planned on a monthly basis by SCERT. For successful completion of the teachers’ course, there is a need to monitor the programme at the district, mandal and school level. Further the monitoring team requires a strong academic expertise that will be helpful in supporting the teachers during the course since
