School Education Midday Meals Social Audit in Schools- Instructions

All the District Educational Officers in the state are informed that, the

"Jagananna Gorumuddha" Scheme (Midday Meals) is a flag ship programme of the

department catering to the needs of the students in the state ,improving the

nutritional status of children in Government schools. Encouraging poor children

belonging to disadvantaged sections to attend school more regularly and help them

concentrate on classroom activities. Conducting of Social Audit of the scheme is an

important component of the scheme and mandatory in all the districts.

All the District Educational Officers are further informed that, the AP Society

for Social Audit, Accountability and Transparency (APsSAAT) is scheduled to take

up the Social Audit in two (2) schools in each district from 21-09-2022. The district

wise identified schools names and the name of District Resource Person with

contact No.

from APSSAAT conducting audit is enclosed herewith

ready

reference and necessary action.

Therefore, all the District Educational Officers are instructed to inform all

concerned, Head Masters/ Mandal Educational Officers to co-operate and produce

all relevant records/registers/data and arrange interaction with public/ parents/

students to the audit team on the days of social audit.
