School Education – SCERT, AP – Student safety - Safety and Security measures to be taken in all schools

The kind attention of all the District Educational Ofcers in the state

is invited to the reference 1st cited wherein they were requested to give

clear instructions to all the inspecting authorities, Headmasters and

teachers regarding student safety and the Standard Operating Procedures

(SoPs) to be followed.

Further, in the reference 2nd cited, the Chairperson, AP Women’s

Commission requested the Hon'ble Minister for Education to ensure that

necessary Safety and Security measures to be taken in all schools by

conducting special sessions on “Good Touch-Bad Touch”, “Untold sexual

harassment”, “Psychological Counselling”, “Household harassment” and

trafcking of children for sextual exploitation” etc.,

Further, all DEOs are aware that orientation on School safety and

Student safety was conducted by line departments on 07.01.2022 and

Safety Day was conducted on 28.01.2022.

Therefore, all the District Educational Ofcers are requested to

ensure that sessions shall be organized in all schools under all

managements by the trained teachers / eminent personalities on the

suggested topics by the Chairperson, AP Women’s Commission regarding

student safety.
