National Education Policy 2020 – Development of State Curriculum Framework (SCF) and 25 Position Papers–Identification of 75 to 80 members for consultations and 25 members as surveyors from each district by the DLC,s (DIET- Principals) - Orders
The Director NCERT, New Delhi in the referance 3rd cited has informed that, the
Ministry of Education (MoE) has entrusted NCERT with the task of coordinating the entire
process of developing National Curriculum Frameworks in collaboration with the states/UTs
and other autonomous bodies under MoE that:
The National Education Policy, 2020 has recommended the development of
following four National Curriculum Frameworks (NCFs):
a. National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE)
b. National Curriculum Framework for Early Childhood Care and
Education(NCFECCE)
c. National Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education (NCFTE)
d. National Curriculum Framework for Adult Education (NCFAE)
2. He further informed that, as per the strategy finalised by the Ministry of Education
(MoE) and NCERT, it has been decided that the NCF should be framed by incorporating and
integrating the local and indigenous favour from across the country through wider
consultations. For this, it has also been decided that the following four State Curriculum
Frameworks (SCFs) may be developed first and these may then feed into the preparation of
the NCFs:
a. State Curriculum Framework for School Education (SCFSE)
b. State Curriculum Framework for Early Childhood Care and Education (SCFECCE)
c. State Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education (SCFTE)
d. State Curriculum Framework for Adult Education (SCFAE)
3. He informed that NCERT will provide the templates for developing all four SCFs,
survey questionnaires, capacity building workshop, etc. along with an IT based portal for
developing the SCFs in a paperless manner.
