National Green Corps (NGC) programme - Teachers designated as District Coordinator under National Green Corps (NGC) programme - Certain instructions to assist AP State Biodiversity Board in implementation of Biodiversity related activities
The attention of all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and
District Educational Ofcers in the State is invited to the ref cited, wherein the
Prl.Chief Conservator of Forests & Member Secretary, AP State Biodiversity
Board, Guntur has informed that, AP State Biodiversity Board is constituted in
2006 under the provisions of Biodiversity Act 2002. The Mandate of the AP State
Biodiversity Board is to take measures for Conservation of Biodiversity in the
State including creation of awareness among students. AP State Biodiversity
Board is a Coordination and Facilitating body for various Conservation related
activities. Further, he requested to involve teachers in implementation of
Awareness and Capacity building programme for the students in their respective
districts and assist the AP State Biodiversity Board in implementation of Student
related activities in Biodiversity conservation.
Therefore, all the RJDSEs and DEOs in the State is requested to issue
instructions to the feld level functionaries to involve the Teachers who were
designated as District Coordinators under the AP National Green Corps (NGC)
programme in implementation of Awareness and Capacity building programme
for the students in their respective districts and assist the AP State Biodiversity
Board in implementation of Student related activities in Biodiversity conservation
in the matter.
