National Book Trust, India – National Centre for Children’s Literature (NCCL) of National Book Trust add the data to the national database of readers club – Certain instructions
In pursuance of the instructions in the reference 5th cited above, all the
District Educational Officers and District Project Officers, SSA in the state are
informed that, the Ministry of Education, Govt of India has been decided that
Readers Club will be established in all Govt. Schools in the Country in a phased
manner at every school. Accordingly, proceedings were sent to all districts on

th October from this office. After so many reminders of the nodal officer of the
programme, this office received complete information from 41566 schools,
received incomplete information from 50 schools and no information from 2803
schools.
2. It is further informed that top priority should be given to this aspect and
complete the establishment of Readers clubs in 100% schools of our state to
inculcate reading habit among the students.
3. Further all the District Educational Officers & Ex-Officio Project
Coordinators and Addl. Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the State are
once again informed that, the following google link may be communicated again
to all the schools in your respective Districts to fill the required information as
required by NBT, New Delhi so that they could be enrolled as Readers’ Clubs.
