Filling up the gaps, if any, as per latest U-DISE data and ensure availability and functionality of boys and girls toilets and safe & adequate drinking water facility in all schools in the State – Certain instructions
The under mentioned officers are invited to the reference read
above (copy enclosed) wherein the GoI has informed that in their earlier
letters, they have requested for filling up of the gaps, if any, as per latest
U-DISE data and ensure availability and functionality of boys and girls
toilets and safe & adequate drinking water facility in all schools in the
State.
They are further informed that as per latest UDISE+ data, 2018-
19, functional girls toilets were available in only 97.23% of schools,
functional boys toilets were available in only 88.77% of schools and
functional drinking water facilities were available in only 85.29% of
schools in the state, although the State had earlier certified that all the
schools have separate toilets for boys and girls.
As such, the GOI has requested to take immediate action for filling
up the gaps and to ensure that functional toilets and drinking water
facilities are available in all the schools in the State and to send a
compliance report in this regard to them by 31st Dec. 2020.
Further, the GOI has also informed that in CAG report No. 21 of
2019 laid on the table of the House, the deficiencies/ misreporting
