VI Class and Intermediate 1st Year admissions during Academic Year 2020-21 – Certain instructions for conduct of lots for admission into AP Model Schools

The District Educational Officer, Vizianagaram was requested

this office in the ref. (6) cited with a request to issue necessary

guidelines for making admissions through lots in their respective

Model Schools instead of District Headquarters due to COVID-19 and

lack of transportation facilities.

In this connection, the District Educational Officer,

Vizianagaram is informed that it has come to the notice of the

undersigned that the Principals of Model Schools have faced lot of

troubles from the Public and Public Representatives previously as

they have pressurized the Principals and District Authorities to get

admissions of their children during last year.

He is also informed that there is a chance to repeat the same

situation more and above compared to last year i.e., pressurization

from the public and public representations as the admissions in the

Model Schools now through lots.

Further informed that the Committee under the Chairmanship

of the Joint Collector will conduct lots for admission into Model

Schools in a peaceful manner and hence, there is no scope of

partiality and also criticism from the public in doing admissions

through lots. Moreover, there is no necessity of presence of the
