Special DSC – 2019 – Recruitment to the post of School Assistant (Special Education) – Selecting the candidates who got less than 60 marks to the O.C – W & G posts – Clarification issued
The attention of the District Educational Officer YSR District is invited to the
reference read above and she is informed that as per Rule 7 of the G.O. Ms. No. 24 School
Education (Exams) Department dated: 15.02.2019 the minimum qualifying marks to the post
of School Assistant (Special Education) was prescribed for the respective communities
only as per the NCTE norms. In this prescribed qualifying marks, O.C means Other castes.
Merit lists were generated to the candidates those who were qualified in their respective
communities as per the qualifying marks prescribed in Rule 7 of the G.O. Ms. No. 24 School
Education (Exams) Department dated: 15.02.2019.
Further, as per the Rule 22 (2)(e) in AndhraPradesh State and Subordinate Rules, 1996
O.C Means Open Competition. Hence, while preparing the selection lists, in the category of
O.C roster, those who were in the merit, in the merit list should be taken irrespective of
communities. Accordingly, selection lists were prepared and communicated to the District
selection committees for their approval. In this regard, appointments were also issued to the
selected candidates. Hence, the selection lists drawn by the CSE and communicated to the
District selection committees is hold good.
