Nadu Nedu –Procurement of materials- Specifications-Brand names–communicated

Government vide the reference 1st cited have accorded

administrative approval for improving the infrastructure facilities with nine

identified components in all the Schools under Mana Badi Nadu Nedu

programme.

All these works are being taken up through Parents

Committees by way of community contracting.

2. Further vide the ref 2nd cited, Government has set the target date

for completion of all the works in all the schools by 31st July 2020.

3. In many circumstances it has been reported that, the HMs and PCs

are facing the problem with specifications of the materials and

brands of the material to be procured. Hence to facilitate the HMs

and PCs in selection of the materials and best known brands in the

market the following guidelines are issued.

I. Construction of Toilets with continuous water:

i. Urinals: Central procurement and supplied based on the indent.

ii. Wash Basins:Central procurement and supplied based on the indent.

( Field Engineer to indent through App)

iii.Water Closets (Indian &European): Central procurement and

supplied based on the indent.(Field Engineer to indent through App )

iv.Sanitary pipes: 75 mm/110 mm/150 mm dia 4kg/cm2 PVC for

pipes, bends, elbows, junction boxes of Supreme /Finolex/

Sudhakar.

v. Water Supply fittings:

a. Pipes: 22.20 mm/28.60 mm/41.30 mm dia PVC pipes of

Aaseervad/Astrol flow guard /Supreme /Finolex.

b. Taps: 12.70 mm dia bib taps, push cocks of Jaguar

/Hindware/Cera/Alton or 12.70 mm PVC taps of Prayag/
