he District Educational Officer, Kadapa is drawn to the reference 1st
read above, wherein it has been informed that Sri.Venkata Swamy, Convenor for
AP Teachers Forum for Child Right approached the National Commission for
Protection of Child Right duly requesting to enhance the quantity of rice to the
children of Primary is 150 gms and for UP is 200 gms per day per child under the
scheme instead of providing 100 gms & 150 gms.
In this context, it is informed that, Government of India has fixed the
norms for rice by providing 100 gms for Primary & 150 gms for Upper Primary
under the scheme. Accordingly, the rice is being supplied to all the school
children, increasing the quantity of rice is a policy matter and a decision to be
taken by the Government of India as the scheme is uniformly being implemented



all over the India.
Therefore, the District Educational Officer, Kadapa is requested to inform
Sri.Venkata Swamy, Convenor for AP Teachers Forum for Child Right,
that increasing of allotment of rice per children per day from 100 gms to 150
gms in respect of Primary Schools and from 150 gms to 200 gms in respect of UP
and High School is not possible.
