School Education Dept- COVID-19 pandemic- Regulation of school fees for the Academic Year, 2020-21– Orders

In the references 1st, 2nd & 3rd read above, Government of 
Telangana imposed a state-wide lockdown till 07.05.2020 to prevent 
and contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic. 
2. Keeping in view of hardship caused by lockdown due to 
COVID-19, the Telangana State Cabinet passed Resolution that, 
schools shall not increase any kind of fees during academic year 
2020-21 and shall charge only tuition fee on monthly basis till further 
orders vide reference 4th read above. 
3. Government, after careful examination of the matter and in 
exercise of the powers conferred under Rule 21 of Telangana 
Educational Institutions (Establishment, Recognition, Administration & 
Control of Schools under Private Managements) Rules, 1993, hereby 
direct all Private unaided recognized schools in the State, which are 
affiliated to State Board, CBSE, ICSE & other International Boards, 
that:- 



i. Not to increase any kind of fees during the Academic Year, 
2020-21 and shall charge only tuition fee on monthly basis 
till further orders. 
4. Non-compliance of the above instructions will result in 
cancellation of school recognition, revoking the No Objection 
Certificate already granted for affiliation to other boards and initiation 
of appropriate action against the School Management under relevant 
Acts/Rules. 
5. The Commissioner of School Education, Telangana, Hyderabad 
shall take necessary action in the matter, accordingly.
