Medium of instruction in all Government schools in the State – Obtaining the choice on medium of instruction from parents– Orders

While communicating a copy of the Government Order in the reference

cited, all the District Collectors in the state hereby requested to ascertain the

choice from Parent / Guardian of the students who studied from Class 1 to 5

during academic year 2019-20 and who are going to join Class 2nd to 6th during

2020-21 with regard to the medium of instruction in which they would like their

children to pursue their Education in the coming academic year 2020-21 in

classes II to VI.

2. The choice shall be obtained by the District Education

Officers through Mandal Educational Officers in the model option form enclosed

herewith who would in turn circulate the formats to the parents through Village

Secretariats.

3. For this purpose, they shall direct the District Education Officers to

communicate the mandal wise, village wise and school wise lists of children along

with their parent details as per the mapping already done for implementation of

Ammavodi program. The lists shall be communicated in excel sheets along with

option forms as annexed to this order. The cost of printing of option forms shall

be met under the DPO cost of Samagra Shiksha for the year 2020-21.

4. The choice of the parents/ Guardian shall be obtained through

Village/Ward Secretariats following the protocols prescribed for COVID-19 with

due precautions and safety measures. They are further requested to collect the

signed hard copies of option forms school wise, mandal wise and keep the hard

copies in the Office of the District Educational Officer for record purpose.

5. Further, they are requested to obtain a consolidated report of the

options in proforma-1 from the Mandal Educational Officers and furnish a

consolidated report in Proforma-2 to this office so as to enable this office to

submit a report to the Government in the matter.
