Status of Implementation of Section 12 (1)(C) of RTE Act 2009




This Appraisal Format has three Parts namely.



1. Part A:- Deals with information related to processes and procedures in place for
implementation of Section 12 of RTE Act.



2. Part B:- Deals with data regarding Section 12



3. Part C: - Deals with the proposal of the State, if any.

. Neighbourhood 
1.1 What is the ‘Neighbourhood’ for private unaided schools and in Specified category of schools
in respect of admission of children belonging to Disadvantaged groups and Weaker Section
under Section 12?
1.2 Has the State defined ‘Neighbourhood’ for the purpose of Section 12? If yes, please share a
copy of the notification. (Annexure- I A)
2. Procedure of Admission
2.1 Please share the Detail of Prescribed Procedure for Admission in Private Unaided Schools
and Specified Schools under Section 12(1) (C). Also share the relevant documents/ GOs/
Instructions/ Guidelines etc. issued from time to time. (Annexure- II A)
2.2 What is the Mechanism in Place to ensure compliance of Section 12 by all Private Unaided
and Specified category of schools? Please share details.
2.3 What Measure are undertaken for Publicity and Awareness Generation regarding provision of
Section 12.( i.e admission of children belonging to disadvantaged and weaker sections in
private unaided schools and in specified category schools). 
2.4 What Mechanism is in place addressing grievances of Public/ Parents pertaining to Section
12? 





3. Monitoring of Admission and Continuation of Children once they are admitted.
3.1 How the admission process under Section 12(1) (C) is monitored by district and State?
3.2 How Children admitted under Section 12 are monitored?
4. Status of Mandatory Notifications
