he attention of all the District Educational Officers & Ex-Officio
Project Coordinators / Additional Project Coordinator of Samagra Shiksha in
the State are invited to the references read above and instructions were
issued to close all hostels, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas in view
of COVID-19.
Whereas representations have been received that a number of
students admitted in seasonal hostels become homeless or shelterless as
their parents have migrated temporarily for labor and not in a position to
come back due to the Lockdown.
Keeping in view of the plight of the children, permission accorded to
running seasonal hostels and urban residential hostels for only those
children that are homeless and shelterless. Orphans, Semi Orphans,
children who were rescued from beggary, Streets, and other homeless
Children are not having the shelter only should be continued in the hostels.
Therefore, all the all the District Educational Officers & Ex-Officio
Project Coordinators / Additional Project Coordinator of Samagra Shiksha in
the State are requested to run the NRSTCs, RSTCs, URH/URS, Seasonal
Hostels, Madarsa during the lock down period for only Orphans, Semi
Orphans, children rescured from beggary, Street Children, Homeless
