National Youth Parliament Scheme – To participate in the portal – Students to be participated in the programme through online - Necessary instructions

Officers in the State are informed that in the 2nd read above the Under Secretary to

Govt. of India, MHRC, Department of School Education & Literacy has stated that the

Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has been running Youth Parliament programme in

various educational instructions since 1966 with the objective to strength the roots of

Parliamentary democracy, inculcate healthy habits of discipline, develop tolerance of

divergent views and familiarize the student community with the procedures and

functioning of Parliament. Hon’ble President launched the Web-Portal of National

Youth Parliament Scheme on the occasion to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of

adoption of the Constitution of India ‘Samvidhan Diwas’ on 26th Nov-2019 and

requested that all schools having classes IX to XII may be encouraged to register

themselves on the www.nyps.mpa.gov.in and participate in the youth parliament

programme(copy enclosed).

Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education / all the

District Educational Officers in the State are requested to issue instructions to all field

officers / Headmasters/ Principals of all schools under all managements in the State

including Central Govt. Schools ( Kendriya, Navodaya schools etc., ) to encourage

the students to register themselves on the www.nyps.mpa.gov.in and participate in

the National Youth Parliament Programme duly following the GOI guidelines.
