Government in the reference read above have issued administrative approval for

improving infrastructure facilities in all the schools with nine identified

components.

approval for improving infrastructure facilities in all the schools with nine

identified components.Compound wall is one among the nine Nadu -Nedu

components, which is taken up in convergence with MGNREGS funds in case of all

schools located in rural areas and with Nadu-Nedu funds in case of Schools located

in Urban areas. Type designs with a cost of Rs.5900/- per Rmt were already

communicated by the Commissioner, PR & RD. Since this is a highest priority work

under MGNREGS, the following guidelines are issued to speed up the works.

1. Compound walls with MGNREGS convergence

• Compound wall will be the highest priority work since MGNREGS, material

component is lapsable grant from Govt. of India.

• Ground all the compound wall works immediately and generate at least one

wage FTO before 15.02.2020 (As Notification for election of Urban Local

Bodies is expected soon).

• In case of works sanctioned but not grounded with old type design, delete the

works and generate new estimate and obtain fresh admin sanctions with new

type design from the District Collectors.

• Compound walls with old type design which are already in progress shall be

continued with old type design only.

• Execution of compound walls may be taken up either by Panchayats or

Parents Committee as per local situation on the time is very short to

complete the work.

• Work files shall be maintained for all the MGNREGS works.

• Work site boards as communicated by Commissioner PR& RD shall be

erected at all the work sites.

• All the compound wall works under NREGS Convergance shall be completed

by 15th March 2020.
