Supply of Incinerators and Vending machine of Sanitary Napkins by HLL Life care Limited

The Government of Andhra Pradesh have decided to supply sanitary

napkins to the Girls children studying in Classes from VIII to X in Schools and to

procure Sanitary Napkin Incinerators and Vending machine to Govt.High Schools,

Zilla Parishad High School, MP Upper Primary Schools, Aided High Schools, Mpl.

High School, KGBVs and A.P Model Schools in the state with a view to promote

menstrual hygiene management and health of the Girl students.

The Women’s / Girls who are able to use hygienic napkins may not be fully

aware about the used napkins proper disposal. The common methods of disposal

still remain flushing out of used sanitary napkins into the drains or dumping them

into grounds. According to a scientific study, over 1,00,000 bacteria can develop in

merely 4 seconds when the used sanitary napkins are exposed to air.

The Government has agreed to supply of the Incinerators and Vending

machines to Govt.High Schools, Zilla Parishad High School, MP Upper Primary

Schools, Aided High Schools, Mpl. High School, KGBVs and A.P Model Schools of the

Education Department through HLL Lifecare Limited, (GOI Enterprise) HLL Bhavan,

Poojapura, Thiruvanathapuram, Kerala as per the schools list annexure here with

(Total 3315 Nos of Incinerators and Vending machines) for supply of Sanitary napkin
