Municipal Education -Assessrnentof School Buildlngs - Immediate measures to be takeup on the dilapidated structures in view ofthe rainy 'seasons - Certain instructions

The attention of all the Municipal Commissioners of (59) ULB's, where. Municipal Schools

exists, are invited to the reference l st. cited, wherein insrructions were already issued to them to

conduct a quick assessment of Structural Souadness of all class rooms & compound walls in the

Municipal Schools with the Municipal Engineers .~4 take immediate action to demolish the.

dilapidated class rooms as well as compound wills with the Town Planning Officials ofULB as per

procedure, before: the rainy season, S'Q as to prevent the human loss and to take necessary action for

construction of demolished structure, if any, immediately. Further they were Instructed to take up

minor repairs to classrooms, if any, may be taken up from the ULB Gener-al Funds, immediately.

2. further they were also instructed to identify the trees which are weakened in their roots and

branches which are .situated within the .School premises and ready to fall at any time shall be cut-off

immediately. to avoid untoward incidents in order to protect the lives of the. students, as per rules &

procedure in force, keeping in view of the student death incident oceurred in Municipal School of

Tenali Municipality. · ··

3. In this connection and in the light of recent heavy rain fall, all the Municipal Commissioners of

(59) ULBs are, hereby directed to complete inspection of all Municipal School' Buildings within their

jurisdiction and take all necessary precautionary measures. duly following the instructions issued by

this office from time to time, without fail.

4, Further, all the RDMAs in the State are also directed to bestow thelr personal interest and

submit compliarrce report in the matter without further delay.
