The attention of all the Municipal Commissioners of 59 ULBs wherever Municipal

Schools exists are invited to the reference cited, where in the Government ef AP., is going to

launch Dr.YSR KANTIVEL:VGU Programme from 10/10/20l9 to 16/10/2019,{Phase 1 in

Schools for School Children) with an object to provide comprehensive eye care services to

&y conducting Eye screening and provision of appropriate interventions in a phased manner.

Under the- Program, Medical OffioersfMedical and Health) of concerning PHCs/PP

Units/FMCs will be Implementing the micro level action planf at the ULB) with help of

ASHAs/ ANMs ere and will be supervised by the D:tvffiO/District level Officers from

Medical and Health Department in coordination with the District Educational

Officers/MEOs,.( screening of children, preparation of reports, onlirre updation etc) The first

phase. will be implemented in Schools, including 'Municipal Schools from 10-10-2019.

Therefore the Municipal Commissioners with Municipal Schools ate directed to ensure for

proper coordination with these Departments through their own Health and Sanitation staff,

and Municipal School Headmasters and make the program successful.
