The Government of Andhra Pradesh has directed to launch

DR YSR KANTI VELUGU programme with an objective to provide

comprehensive and sustainable UNIVERSAL EYE CARE to all the people in the

state by conducting eye screening and provision of appropriate interventions

like distribution of Spectacles, surgeries in case of Cataract, Glaucoma,

Retinopathy Corneal disorder etc in a phased manner. The programme will

be held on 10/10/2019 on occasion of world sight day. The details of various

phases in the programme and detailed guidelines for conducting phase I

programme is enclosed for your information.(Details are in enclosure).

In this connection, the attention to all the Regional Joint

Directors of School Education, District Educational Officer and

Project Officers

of SSA in the state is invited to the above reference cited and instructed to

involve all the managements i.e. Govt., ZP, Municipal, Aided and Mandal

Perished to DR.YSR KANTI VELUGU programme and follow the instructions from

the Health department.

While enclosing the reference cited, the Regional Joint

Directors of School Education, District Educational Officers and Project

Officers of SSA in the state are requested to give suitable instructions and co

ordinate with the Health Department to involve Govt., ZP, Municipal, Aided

and Mandal Perished departments in the above said programme with out

fail.

Further requested to participate and monitor the programme

and make the programme grand success and co operate with health

department for successfully.
