The Government vide reference 1st cited have accorded permission for opening

English Medium parallel section in Primary Schools from the academic year 2018-19 subject

to following conditions and the Commissioner of School Education, Andhra Pradesh,

Amaravathi has issued orders to that effect.

i. Parallel EM shall be started in Model Primary and Primary Schools by opening of

Class I and gradually increasing each further class up to Class V next consecutive

years

ii. Gram Panchayat and School Management Committee resolutions would be

essential for starting parallel medium of instructions in EM without diluting the ongoing

telugu medium of teaching.

iii.A second set of trained teachers shall be provided for teaching EM sections in all

those schools without compromising the periods and teachers allocated for TM

teaching subject to fulfilling the rationalising norms.

iv. Declaration of the HM should be obtained that they would facilitate teaching Primary

classes in EM.

Further, the Commissioner of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, Amaravathi in

the reference 5th cited has requested to take action for opening of EM sections in classes VI

to VIII during 2019-2020 duly following the instructions issued in the reference 2nd cited.

In pursuance of the instructions issued by the Government as well as the

Commissioner of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, Amaravathi vide references 1st , 2nd

and 5th cited, all the District Educational Officers in the Zone are informed to take action to

open EM Parallel sections in Primary Schools and Model Primary Schools as per the

instructions issued 1st and 2nd cited and submit the list of schools in which EM Parallel

sections are opened along with all necessary documents with their specific recommendations

to this office for approval.

They are further requested to take action for opening of EM Parallel sections in

Classes VI to VIII in ZP High Schools in their Districts duly following the instructions issued in

the reference 2nd cited during 2019-2020 and submit the list of Schools in which EM parallel

sections are opened along with all necessary enclosures with their specific recommendations

to this office for approval.

They are requested to follow the above instructions scrupulously without any

deviation of the orders concerned.
